Thye new Mercedes GLA (pictured) teased on video ahead of Frankfurt
It was only last week we revealed that the latest iteration of the new Mercedes A-Class – the Mercedes GLA Compact SUV – would be making its debut at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show in production guise. And now Mercedes are starting the tease. They kicked of late yesterday with a sketch of the new GLA, but as we’ve already seen the concept at Geneva, and designers sketches are not exactly the most reliable interpretation of the reality, we didn’t see much point in republishing them (you can see them on Mercedes Facebook page).

Ford is keeping true to its word in making the Fiesta a truly global car, taking the wraps off the new Fiesta saloon in China this week. Ford has earmarked China as a key market for the Fiesta saloon – given China’s penchant for three-box bodystyles. In fact, Ford is so serious about making the Fiesta a success in China that it will be built at a brand new factory in Nanjing. Essentially yes.
The McLaren 650S Spider revealed at the Geneva Motor Show
We had the reveal of the new McLaren 650S Coupe just last month, but what we didn’t get is the reveal of the Convertible version. But that’s all changed today with the arrival of the McLaren 650S Spider in Geneva with the same trick folding roof as the 12C Spider and the same cosmetic and dynamic changes as the 650S Coupe. That means open-top motoring with stunning performance – 0-62mph in 3 seconds and 124mph in 8.5 seconds thanks to the 650S’s 641bhp and 500lb/ft of torque from its updated 3.8 litre V8.
